Inflammation-Fighting Turmeric Wellness Cubes

Inflammation-Fighting Turmeric Wellness Cube

I’m OBSESSED!

It’s been a HOT summer here and these refreshing (yet tart) wellness cubes have added a little spice and change of pace to plain o’ still water.

I’ve been drinking these daily and honestly, it’s helped me to increase my water consumption. When I run out, I’m quick to make more as I’ve come to really look forward to this afternoon pick-me-up – “see ya coffee”.

Health Benefits of Inflammation-Fighting Turmeric Wellness Cubes

  1. Reduce inflammation (duh!). Turmeric (active component curcumin) and ginger are powerhouse foods that have been shown to help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress. Both of which can significantly and negatively impact fertility.
  2. Support immunity. Studies have shown that immune dysregulation can lead to issues such as implantation failure, miscarriage, and complications during pregnancy. Maintaining immune health through proper nutrition (think these wellness cubes) and other lifestyle stress adjustments like stress management, proper sleep, and movement, can significantly enhance reproductive success and overall pregnancy outcomes.
  3. Hydration. Yes, this isn’t the sexiest conversation – I get it, you’ve heard it before – but consider proper hydration plays a major role in the production of cervical fluids. This is critical for sperm survival and transport. Hydration also plays a key role in detoxification and in the proper functioning of our endocrine system (hormone system). So bottoms up ladies!

Substitutions

If you’re feeling a little crazy, consider the following ingredients:

➼ Unsweetened coconut water -for added electrolytes

➼ Lime- a tangy twist to lemons

➼ Sea salt helps with hydration and adding critical minerals into your daily routine

➼ Fresh mint. Personally, I muddle this into the glass first before adding ice and the turmeric cube for added flavour

➼ Cinnamon helps to balance blood sugar and of course tastes great

➼ Cayenne pepper for an extra kick of heat
